Getting Started with FragBin (Step-by-Step)
Getting Started with FragBin (Step-by-Step)
This tutorial walks you through creating and sharing your first secure, Markdown-enabled paste on FragBin.
1. Create a New Paste
Open the homepage and paste your text or code into the editor. Optionally set a title.
2. Choose Language & Markdown
Pick a language for syntax highlighting. Markdown content renders in a live preview while raw stays accessible.
3. (Optional) Add a Password
Toggle password protection and set a strong passphrase if content is sensitive.
4. Set Expiration
Expiration keeps clutter low. Permanent pastes are fine for public snippets you intend to reference.
5. Generate & Store Edit Key
After creation, copy the edit key. It’s required for future updates.
6. Share
Use the regular URL, the raw endpoint, or a QR code for mobile consumption.
7. Update When Needed
Reopen with the edit key present (sessionStorage assists) and modify content safely.
Quick Tips
- Keep excerpts concise for better SEO
- Use fenced code blocks for clarity
- Regularly prune outdated pastes
You’re now ready to integrate FragBin into daily sharing workflows.
